Your First Linux Commands
What a terminal is, why security people use it, and six safe commands to find your way around a Linux machine.
By the end of this lesson you can explain what a terminal and a command are, and read the output of whoami, pwd, ls, ls -a, cd and cat. These are the exact commands you will use to capture your first flag.
There is no lab in this lesson. Every command is shown together with what it prints, so you can follow along by reading. You will type them for real in lesson 9.
